Class Descriptions:

Body Image Healing

Contrary to popular thought, improving body image does not mean changing your body. We will talk through strategies that improve body image, moving through tolerance, to acceptance, compassion, and gratitude. Body confidence comes in all sizes!

Class Descriptions:

Intuitive Eating

Of course you feel confused on how to eat well. There’s a new diet every week and no food is off-limits. Instead of learning another “good/bad” food list, explore Intuitive Eating, a philosophy built on body trust. Intuitive Eating focuses on ten principles to help you ditch dieting and make peace with food. Key concepts include waking up hunger and fullness cues, challenging the food police, respecting your body, gentle nutrition, and most importantly, satisfaction.

Health at Every Size (HAES)

Health at Every Size is an innovative approach to whole-person health. HAES recognizes good health can be best realized independent from considerations of size. This approach supports people of all sizes in addressing health directly by adopting healthy behaviors.

Meal Planning for Real Life

Confused and overwhelmed on how to plan and prepare meals? I can help you develop a system that works for YOU and your schedule.

People are saying...

Michelle’s insistence that “all bodies are good bodies” and that “all food is permissible and fits within a balanced diet” is a new and refreshing perspective among most dietitians. Michelle’s expertise in Intuitive Eating and Health At Every Size have helped me overcome many fears and my own mis-education about food and what a balanced diet looks like. Food fears and negative body image have controlled my life for more years than I’d like to admit and slowly but surely, Michelle is helping me break out of a fear-based mindset regarding food and teaching me gratitude for everything my body can do, and has done, for me. She is quick to encourage me to challenge unhelpful thoughts regarding my eating disorder recovery, while also exposing me to new research that shows that dieting and weight-cycling is much more harmful than we originally believed. I have learned so much about food, nutrition, diets, body image, and societal norms, which has opened my eyes to how our culture dictates what we should look like and how we should eat and exercise to attain the unattainable - the “perfect body.” I am eternally grateful for Michelle’s constant encouragement, as well as her gentle redirection and challenging of unhelpful and ultimately unhealthy ideas about dieting and fear- and shame-based nutrition.

I have been seeing Michelle for about a year now. After 40 years, 40+ diets, exercising to the point of injury and a scale that never gave in, I had come undone. She has helped over and through many twists and turns. I am healthier and happier for it. I am learning to be kind to myself, respect all my body does for me and truly listen to what my body is saying. True Freedom.
Thank you Michelle. You are an angel I never expected to meet and so happy I was sent your way.

You’ve shown me more empathy than any other professional.

Michelle has transformed the way I look at food, myself, and those around me. While it is still an ongoing journey, the support Michelle has given me has made all the difference. Her kindness, ability to listen and truly be compassionate about my struggles makes her excellent at what she does.

I went to a cancer survivors’ event and we were all told that our diets caused our cancer. I haven’t felt good about food in a long time, but now I have hope that I can.

I hesitated to spend the money; I figured I could just find this information online... You came highly recommended from multiple people... I’m so glad I came.
